Planning, building and powering the social persona & presence of MediaTek, the brand that powers 1.5 billion devices a year.


Even though a market leader in chipset technology, there were no conversations around the MediaTek brand among the Indian audiences- consumers as well as influencers. A big share of buzz in the segment belonged to just one big name- Qualcomm. The primary challenge was to build the brand presence on digital in India, and promote the ‘behind-the-scene’ hero products to the main screen


With mid-range smartphones being its mainstay and a mantra to make technology available to everyone, the focus was on tangible features to connect with a young audience. Conversations to be built around how MediaTek enhances your smartphone experience and how Android Go helps you stand out from the crowd. Buzz to be built around MediaTek chipsets and their contribution towards improving your smart phone’s display/camera performance/battery output/ gaming etc..


It is most important to talk to and reach the right TG- young audiences who are living a major portion of their lives online. From smartphones to gaming, and wearables, they are the top consumers. By weaving stories, posts, visuals, contests and campaigns around the Millenials, the idea is to recognize their ingenuity & position them as the ‘everyday genius’. This is achieved by a consistent online brand presence on all major platforms, straddled by a series of social media campaigns in sync with the brand’s associations with the OEM’s and device launches.


Social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are being leveraged to initiate conversations and build the unique brand identity of MediaTek.
